     Topps Chewing Gum were a well-known producer of cards from the United States. Founded in 1938 they took over A&BC Gum in 1975 and issued there first series of footballers in 1975-76 and continued issuing until 1981-82 when they stopped. Topps acquired Merlin Publishing and now produce the successful Match Attax cards.

This was the first series under the Topps name and covered the First and Second Division and totalled 330 cards this time. The cards had red and grey backs, measuring 88mm x 63mm in size and featured nine Wolves players as below.

This series saw a radical change for although they were still the same overall size at 88mm x 63mm they each contained three cards which were separated by perforation with 198 footballers represented. Wolves players featured on 7 cards as follows:- 47 - John Richards (Wolves Top Scorer), 73 - Andy Gray, 74 - Emlyn Hughes, 75 - Willie Carr, 76 - John Richards, 114 - Emlyn Hughes (England) & 166 - Andy Gray (Scotland)

1981-82 - Footballer

     This was the last series issued by Topps and again the cards were split into three as the previous series (see image to the right) with 187 footballers represented. Wolves players featured on 6 cards as below. Size 63 x 30mm each individual card (63 x 90mm for the trio)
