     Primrose Confectionery of Slough were prolific suppliers of cards from around the end of the second world war through to the 1970's. These cards ranged from sports to film and cartoons to the Wild West.
     They issued 3 football sets in their 'sweet cigarettes'. The first series was 'Famous Footballers' in 1961,  followed by 'Cup-Tie Quiz' in 1972-73 and 'Football Funnies' in 1973-74.
     The 'Famous Footballers' was a series of 50 cards measuring 65mm x 32mm in size and contained six cards of Wolves players, the most of any team. All Wolves cards are shown below.
