     Founded in Ireland in the mid 19th century in Derry, Ireland by the turn of the century the company opening the biggest tobacco factory in the world producing cigars, cigarettes and snuff. The company expanded and acquired other tobacco companies to become one of the world's biggest tobacco companies in the world. In 2007 the Gallaher Group was acquired by the Japan Tobacco and still produce product today.
     Like other tobacco companies Gallaher produced cards for advertising purposes not only for footballers but for other sports as well. Of the football sets produced two featured Wolves players as detailed below.

1910 - Association Football Club Colours

     A series of 100 cards depicting footballers in their club colours. The teams featured were from all across the United Kingdom with the rear giving brief details of the club.
     Wolves representative in the series was 24 - George Hedley.

1928 - Footballers

     Their next issue saw a two series set of 50 cards each. The first series featured action from football games the second series portraits of footballers. The cards themselves were XXmm x XXmm in size with Wolves featuring once in each series as detailed below.
