WOLVES IN DETAIL
FKS stickers were the original sticker producers in the UK providing not just a random selection of players but a full set for each team. Commencing in 1966 with a World Cup edition the first football league season commenced the following term. They continued through to 1982 when they finished with a Spain 82 edition for the World Cup.
1967-68 - The Wonderful World of Soccer Stars

The first series consisted of 330 cards 72mm x 50mm in size and featured 15 cards for all 22 teams in the First Division, the backs adorned with name and number only. The 15 players representing Wolves were; 316 - Mike Bailey, 317 - David Burnside, 318 - Pat Buckley, 319 - Fred Davies, 320 - Derek Dougan, 321 - Alun Evans, - 322 - Ron Flowers, 323 - Graham Hawkins, 324 - John Holsgrove, 325 - Peter Knowles, 326 - Phil Parkes, 327 - Gerry Taylor, 328 - Bobby Thomson, 329 - Terry Wharton and 330 - Les Wilson
1968-69 - The Wonderful World of Soccer Stars

The second edition, as the first, consisted of 330 cards 72mm x 50mm in size again featuring 15 cards for all 22 teams in the First Division, this time however, there were player details on the back. All the Wolves cards are shown below. Note the spelling of Derek Parkin's christian name.
1969-70 - The Wonderful World of Soccer Stars

The third edition, consisted again of 330 cards 72mm x 50mm in size featuring 15 cards for all 22 teams in the First Division, this time reverting back to the original backs with just the number and player name and club. 10 the Wolves cards are displayed below with those missing being 322 - Peter Knowles, 324 - Francis Munro, 325 - Phil Parkes and 326 - Derek Parkin

The fourth edition expanded to 420 cards of 72mm x 50mm in size. Again there were 15 cards for all 22 teams in the First Division, but this time the set included a Second Division Star Gallery, both European Cup Finalists and the Best Players of Mexico 70. 9 the Wolves cards are displayed below with those missing being 317 - Hugh Curran, 320 - Danny Hegan, 321 - John Holsgrove, 324 - Mike O'Grady, 325 - John Oldfield and 326 - Phil Parkes.

The next edition reverted back to the 15 cards for all teams in the First Division with the addition this time of the club badge making 352 cards in the complete collection. The cards again were 72mm x 50mm in size (except for the club badge) and this time there were black and white head shots on the rear. All 16 Wolves cards are displayed below.

The sixth edition again had 15 cards for each teams in the First Division. Additional cards tis time were 25 circular stickers which were collated on a poster. 72mm x 50mm in size the rear lost the photograph with 12 of the Wolves stickers displayed below. The missing stickers are 319 - Peter Eastoe, 324 - Frank Munro and 329 - Gerry Taylor.
Note how the Phil Parkes photo is the same as the previous season with the background adjusted slightly!

The seventh edition saw a major revamp with the total number of stickers dropping to 304. With the stickers now in landscape and containing a small head shot of the layer and club colours alongside the main image the number dropped to 13 for each club which was boosted by 14 cards for the previous seasons FA Cup Winners Sunderland

The ninth edition saw a return to the thinner paper after a season and again featured all First Division teams with 14 portraits each. 64mm x 45mm in size there were also cards featuring stars of Scotland, Ireland and Wales alongside a number of European Team Pictures taking the set to 360 in total. 13 of the Wolves set are featured below with the missing card being 297 - Steve Daley.

The next edition saw another change as the cards again went into a landscape version and featured a head and shoulder photo and an action shot for each player. Each First Division team were represented by either 12, 13, 14 or 15 players with some teams having their manager. Other cards represented match action and large posters featuring 9 cards.
With Wolves having been relegated at the end of the previous season there was no representation, however, manager Bill McGarry did appear in the album.

1977-78 - Soccer Stars

This edition reverted back to the portrait single shot 64mm x 44mm in size. The series expanded to 28 teams with the total cards rising to 400 in the set. The backs of the card were plain apart from the players name and the card number, however, there was no indication of where the glue was to be applied and by adhering fully in the book you blanked out the player profile.
Teams were represented by anything from 12 to 15 cards with some also featuring a team group shot. Wolves only had 12 cards on their page all of which are shown below. All the cards I own have been removed from the book, thus I cannot show how the backs looked.
1978-79 - Soccer Stars Golden Collection
​
The twelfth edition was the largest set to date with 448 cards in total whilst all cards had a gold background. This collection featured all 22 First Division teams along with all 10 Scottish Premier League teams. This was the first season where self-adhesive backs were used.
Each team were represented by 14 cards with 11 of the Wolves stickers shown below, the missing being; 296 - Paul Bradshaw, 297 - George Berry & 305 - Derek Parkin

The next edition featured more teams again this time including Second Division Team Photo's as well as England Under 21's. Self adhesive backs again with player profile added with all teams represented by 13 cards of which 8 of the Wolves are displayed below.

This edition totalled 450 cards and featured all First Division teams given 12 players and a team badge whilst the backs of the stickers had a player profile on them. The remainder of the set contained the Scottish Premier Division teams, but not the full set like previous collections and was supplemented by 'Star Players' from the Second and Third Divisions as well as by International Trophies, Top Transfers and USA Star Players which was players who had travelled to the States to play.
All Wolves cards are featured below with the exception of 306 - Geoff Palmer. A further card 419 - Andy Gray also featured in the USA Stars section.

The final series consisted of 400 stickers of 17 for each First Division team and 10 for three Scottish Premier League Teams. Each of the teams featured 15 player photos and a 'double' picture that comprised either a team photograph or an action shot. The album itself contained 4 stickers printed in the album, one of which was the right half of the Wolves team group.

Euro Soccer Postcards
​
In 1975-76 FKS experimented with a new series, this one of postcard team groups in a set of 55. The series featured all 22 First Division teams, the remaining postcards being teams from across Europe.
With Wolves being a member of the First Division they appeared in the album, however, by some quirk there were two different Wolves postcards, the only team to have a variation. Both are displayed below..
