WOLVES IN DETAIL
Having acquired Merlin Publishing Topps began publishing the popular children's Football Trading Card Game Match Attax in 2007 based on the Premier League. Cards have been produced every season since that time with Wolves appearing when they arrived in the top flight. They also produced a Championship edition in 2012-13 in which Wolves were featured. Details of each season and the Wolves cards issued are listed below. All cards are 88mm x 62mm in size.
2007-08 - Premier League
​
The first series featured 553 cards with an additional 12 limited edition cards. The set comprised 16 base cards per team plus Star Players, Man of the Match and the Limited Editions plus two Tournament cards featuring the Score Card and the Master Card.
2008-09 - Premier League
​
The second series again featured 599 cards with an additional 12 limited edition cards. 16 base cards per team were supplemented by Star Players, Man of the Match and the Limited Editions plus the Trophy Card. Additionally there were 5 Hundred Club cards and a special 100 Club Autographed card Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas.
2009-10 - Premier League

Series three featured 611 cards plus limited edition cards. 16 base cards per team were supplemented by Managers, I Cards, Man of the Match foil cards and the 7 Limited Editions. There were 4 Hundred Club Foil Cards plus 3 Autographed Limited Edition Cards. As the season progressed additional Squad Update players were added.
With Wolves having captured the 2008-09 Championship trophy they were promoted to the top flight and appeared in the collection for the first time. There were 33 different Wolves card as shown below.

Series four increased to 653 cards plus the limited edition cards. Now up to 18 base cards per team these were supplemented by Star Signings, Star Players, Showboat, Managers, and Man of the Match foil cards and this time Club Badges. There were 4 Hundred Club Foil Cards, 1 Hundred Club Limited Edition Autograph Card and 7 Limited Edition Cards. Additionally there was a Referee Card of Mark Clattenburg, There were additional cards issued with a variety of magazines and as the season progressed Squad Updates and New Signings were added.

The next series featured 659 cards with an additional 6 limited edition cards. 18 base cards per team including Managers, Star Players, Star Signings, Club Badges and Man of the Match cards and new Counter Attack and Offside Traps. Additionally the Limited Editions and Trophy Cards were added to with Squad Updates and Golden Moments Cards as the season progressed. Additionally there were 4 Hundred Club cards a special Limited Edition Autographed card of Tottenham Hotspurs Gareth Bale and a Referee Card of Howard Webb.

The sixth series featured 646 cards with an additional 9 limited edition cards. 18 base cards per team were added to with Star Players, Star Signings, Man of the Match, Legends, Hundred Club and a Referee card - Phil Dowd. Included within the base cards were Stadium and Manager Cards.
With Wolves relegated at the end of the previous season they didn't feature within the series, however, for this season only a Championship edition was produced.
2012-13 - Championship
​
This, the second and final Championship series issued contained 345 cards plus one Limited Edition, Craig Bellamy of Cardiff City. The series was built up of 9 base cards along with Manager, Star Player, Man of the Match and Hundred Club cards along with a single referee card, Andy Woolmer.
Wolves players featured on 15 cards. The 10 Base Cards are featured below plus 2 Star Players and 1 Powerhouse. Those I have yet to obtain being 336 - Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (Man of the Match) and Karl Henry (Hundred Club)

2013-14 - Premier League

The seventh series featured 644 cards with an additional 18 limited edition cards. Again it was 18 base cards per team including the Star Player and Star Signing. Additionally there were Man of the Match, Manager and 4 Hundred Club cards as well as the Referee Card and the Premier League Trophy. The Limited Edition Cards were divided into three series of 6 cards detailed as Bronze, Silver and Gold.
2014-15 - Premier League

The eighth series featured 696 cards with an additional 6 limited edition cards and for the first time 5 Tactics Cards. As usual there are 18 base cards per team which includes the Club Badge. Additionally there were Man of the Match, Duo, Captains, Managers and Record Breaker cards and 4 Hundred Club. 76 squad updates and 21 New Signing boosted collection. The Limited Edition Cards were of 6 players but this time they had three for each, a Bronze, Silver and Gold.
2015-16 - Premier League
​
This series featured 775 cards with an additional 18 Limited Edition cards, 6 Bronze, 6 Silver and 6 Gold. 18 base cards per team which includes the Club Badge, Captain and Star Player. Additionally there were All Rounder, Clean Sheet, Super Striker and Tough Tackler for some, but not all teams.
Further cards were issued for Man of the Match, Away Kit and Duo. There were 4 100 Club Cards, 16 Cult Heroes, 38 Match Attax Live, 32, Pro 11 and 6 Tactic Cards. Additionally there was a Playing Pitch Card for each club which was available only online.
Extra cards were added during the season for Squad Updates, Managers, New Signings, Rising Stars, Update Cards, Magic Moments and Hat-Trick Heroes
2016-17 - Premier League
​
This tenth series featured 883 cards including 24 Limited Edition cards, 8 Bronze, 8 Silver and 8 Gold. 18 base cards per team which includes the Club Badge, Captain, Star Player and Away Kit. Additionally there were All Rounder, Clean Sheet, Play Maker, Speed King, Managers, Super Striker and Tough Tackler for some, but not for all teams.
Further cards were issued for Assist King, Game Changer, Set Piece Specialist, Freestyler (4 cards for each), 3 Man of the Match cards for each team. There were 4 Hundred Club Cards and 9 Hundred Club Legend Cards from the previous editions. Club Hero, Rising Star, International Star, and 6 Tactic Cards.
Extra cards were added during the season for Hat-Trick Heroes, Magic Moments, Nostalgic 25 Years Super Team, New Signings, Match Attax Live, Premier League Legends, Stars of the Season and Squad Updates.
2017-18 - Premier League
​
The penultimate series featured 1,036 cards including 15 Limited Edition cards, 5 Bronze, 5 Silver and 5 Gold. 18 base cards per team which includes the Super Striker, Star Player, Away Kit, Tough Tackler, All-Rounder, Speed King and Pass Master for some, but not for all teams.
Further cards were issued for Assist King, Freestyler, Powerhouse, Set-Piece Specialist (4 cards for each), and 3 Man of the Match cards for each team. There were 11 Hundred Club Cards, 16 International Stars and a Kit Card for each team.
Extra cards were added during the season for Defensive Heroes, Midfield Masters, Goal Machines, Game Changers, Pro 11, Tactic Cards and Squad Updates along with Extra Boost, New Signings, Captain, Golden Boot Winner, Record Breakers, Magic Moments and Hat-Trick Heroes,
2018-19 - Premier League
​
The final series featured 773 cards with an additional 25 limited edition cards. 18 base cards per team including Club Badge, Star Player and Fan Favourite plus 3 Man of the Match cards for each club. Further cards were added for Rising Star, Star Signings, 100 Club, Title Winner, Elite Attacker, Top Defender, International Star and Tactic Cards.
As the season progressed additional cards were added for Squad Updates, Extra Boost, Ballers, Flying Full Backs, New Signings, additional Man of the Match, Stars of the Season and Hat-Trick Hero's.
As Wolves returned to the top flight they were represented by 34 cards, all of which are shown below with the exception of MTC15 - Rui Patricio (Stars of the Season)

Additionally this season there were extra cards in the form of Match Attax Ultimate. There were eight cards representing Wolves, however, each card had at least five versions with differing colours around the edge. All Wolves cards appear below.
At the end of the season Topps lost the rights in the Premier League and had to concentrate on their European Series with the Champions League and Europa League.

Since the 2015-16 season Topps commenced producing cards for Europe's number one club competition, the UEFA Champions League.
2015-16 - UEFA Champions League

This initial series consisted of 694 cards and covered the competition from the group stage covering 26 of the 32 teams. The series contained 15 base cards for each club plus 3 additional cards for Captain, Star Player, and one of Defensive Duo, Midfield Duo or Forward Duo.
Additional cards were added for Man of the Match for each club whilst others covered Scandinavian Stars, Rising Stars, Pro 11 and 8 Limited Edition Cards.
2016-17 - UEFA Champions League

This second series consisted of 634 cards again covering the competition from the group stage and included 21 of the 32 teams. Each team contained 13 base cards and the club logo for each club plus 4 additional cards for Rising Star, Goal King, Away Goal and one of Defensive Duo, Midfield Duo or Forward Duo.
Additional cards were added for Man of the Match for each club whilst others covered Scandinavian Stars, 100 Club, UCL Hero, Star Player, Fans' Favourite, Debutant and New Signings as the competition progressed. Further cards were Pro 11 plus 15 Limited Edition Cards featuring 5 stars in bronze, silver and gold.
2017-18 - UEFA Champions League

This next series consisted of 542 cards again covering the competition from the group stage and again featuring 21 of the 32 teams. Each team contained 14 base cards and the club logo for each club plus 4 additional cards for Hot Shot, Defensive Dynamo, and again one of Defensive Duo, Midfield Duo or Forward Duo.
Additional cards were added for Man of the Match for each club whilst others covered Scandinavian Stars, UCL 100 Club XI, UCL All-Star XI, Hat-Trick Hero's, Club Heroes, Game Changers and New Signings as the competition progressed. Further cards were Pro 11 plus 17 Limited Edition Cards and special Nordic Edition Cards.
2018-19 - UEFA Champions League
​
This fourth series consisted of 518 cards again covering the competition from the group stage and this time featured 22 of the 32 teams. Each team contained 13 base cards and the club badge for each club plus 4 additional cards for Pass Master, Speed King, Goal Machine, and again one of Defensive Duo, Midfield Duo or Forward Duo.
Additional cards were added for Man of the Match for each club whilst others covered Mega Signing, 100 Club XI, Hat-Trick Hero, Rising Star, Super Striker, Superstar, Title Winner plus 15 Limited Edition Cards.
2019-20 - UEFA Champions League + Europa League

This fifth series consisted of 454 cards and covered both the Champions League and also the Europa League and covered 22 teams. All 7 English team competing in Europe had 16 Base Cards plus Team Badge and Duo.
Additional cards were added for Man of the Match, Club MVPS, Club Legends, UCL Centurions, UCL Record Holders, Hat-Trick Heroes, 100 Club, Super Squad, Game Changers, Super Boost Strikers, World Class Superstars, Wonderkids, XL Cards and 30 Limited Edition Cards of 10 players in Bronze, Silver and Gold.
As Wolves had qualified for the Europa League they featured in this set and were represented by 33 cards as shown below. There were also Match Attax 101 cards in the set with Wolves represented 15 times, all but 2 of the cards shown below. The single missing card is S37 - Adama Traore

This latest series contained a whopping 982 cards plus an additional 366 Extra's and again covered both the Champions League and the Europa League. This time it featured 30 teams with all 7 English team competing in Europe having 15 Base Cards plus the Team Badge.
Additional cards were available for Super Signing, 2020 Star, Man of the Match, Club Hero, All Rounder, 100 Club, Power Play, Autograph Cards, Golden Goal Scorer, Hat-Trick Heros, International Icons and Holiday Updates alongside a number of others.
